God explains in Matthew 18 that we must become like little children with our faith. This basically means that we must become completely dependent upon Jesus to the point of trusting Him with every single thing just like a little child trusts his/her parents when they are growing up. When we're afraid, insecure, defeated, overwhelmed, anxious, hot-tempered, panic-stricken, nervous, rude, gossipy, unkind, and many other unloving and ungodly things, we go immediately to Jesus for help. Jesus continues that we must not desire authority, we should not regard outward distinctions, we should be free from malice toward others, that we be teachable, willingly dependent upon Jesus, read the Bible daily to renew our minds, become simple and humble, and be willing to be least of all. This is God's desire for each one of us.
God also grants greater responsibility to those who have been faithful with small things (Daniel 1:8-21). Then in Daniel 10:12, He says: "Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard and I have come in response to them." God will come near to those willing to set our minds on Him and humble ourselves before Him.
God enlightened me as I have begun to work in a Women's Ministry in my church that I must do these things so that God can develop the kind of ministry that He has planned for me:

God enlightened me as I have begun to work in a Women's Ministry in my church that I must do these things so that God can develop the kind of ministry that He has planned for me:
- Possess a childlike faith
- Be faithful where I am
- Be a learner (teachable spirit)
- Don't promote myself
- Focus on being a woman of God here and now
- Study God's Word daily
- Don't look for big opportunities, look for little ones
- Be available
- Cultivate a heart for people
