This time of year is so busy that I can barely think straight. Of course my job has to be super busy on top of all of the holiday preparations that pile on extra busyness. However, God has taught me to continue to come to Him for everything and put Him first in everything. I start my day in the Bible, even if I have to get up early to be sure to read and receive my spiritual feeding to set the tone for my day. Nothing compares to this. In the midst of my busyness, God is still in the forefront of my mind because I make the effort to keep Him there. I talk to Him all day long - praying, praising, singing, reading scriptures, reciting scriptures from memory, reading devotions, sharing HIM with others, etc. WOW - what an indescribable difference this has made in my life. Thank you, Lord, for teaching me to seek you first before anything else. (Matthew 6:33) You promise me that when I keep you first, everything else will be given to me. You have given me all I need at work as well as all of the other things I've been working on. I have completed my holiday preparations and I can honestly say that I am at peace. I almost lost my peace a few times during this busy season when I would get lazy and meandered a bit, but the Holy Spirit worked in my mind to get me back on track. He spoke and I chose to obey. Thank you again, Lord, for helping me obey. You promise to give me everything I need for life and godliness. (2 Peter 1:3) Amen to that!
